Distribution of Educative materials
As the children and their families are living in abject poverty from the yester years, the parents could not spend for the children’s educative materials. We distribute them educative materials to support their education, make their learning effective & better and become effective leaders in future. Of late, manly the tsunami affected children are being supported.
SUPPORTING FORMAL SCHOOLS
To keep up the standard of education in the Tamil medium schools, the DMIs are concerned about student’s education and we are promoting the student’s education through assisting the school teachers in teaching the students as there is lack of teachers in the schools. There are 17 schools supported by us for the educational improvement of the children. Both in the presence and absence of the Govt appointed teachers, DMI volunteers help the students in the Tamil medium schools to learn their subjects ad complete the syllabus on time.
SPECIAL COACHING
The students are grouped according to their educational standard and grasping capacity. Class-wise, DMI sisters help them study well by giving special attention to the weaker students in order to improve the performance of children in their education. Separate study hours are arranged in the morning, evening and night. Students are helped to complete their home work. Once a week, the students are prepared to appear for the test in the home itself and this makes them score well in their terminal and school examinations.
CHILDREN’S CLUB
Children’s club have been formed among the school children who are trained on moral education, savings, value-oriented education, good manners, health and hygiene. Totally 19 children’s clubs are functioning in North India.
